    Hello,

I created a public github repository (MIT Licence) to find help to make it run.

    https://github.com/LaurentFromParis/XamFrmCCSEK

(It's my first use of GitHub so, let me know if you can access the repository)

I'm working on a Cocossharp Healthcare project.
Why cocossharp ? I need to display very fast charts (Electrocardiogram 250 Hz and 3 dimensions / 3 rotations 50 Hz movements).

Integration of Empty Keys UI is very important for me because I have a lot of forms to create for the patient, settings and interactions.

I hope you will help me to make it run (1st target is android).

To create this project I used your video : https://youtu.be/auyM9y6rX3o?list=PL3yaa5PCo0E4bBsYaX3HSccqxyNnDtXFQ
    and your project https://github.com/EmptyKeys/UI_Examples/tree/master/BasicUI_CocosSharp

    I created a new Cocossharp.Forms 1.7.1 in Visual Studio Update 3.
I followed your video instructions and mix my analisys of your sample.

The solution builds but when execution reach LoadGame, it stops (find string LJO : Bug HERE)

I think if we make it run, it will be useful for everyone.

    Thanks,

    Laurent

    Hi,
    three points

    1) CocosSharp is pretty much dead project after Xamarin was bought by MS. Afaik no one is working on it anymore.
    2) Version 1.7.1 was experiment for merging Xamarin.Forms and CocosSharp. That version has many issues and I doubt anyone will fix them. Empty Keys UI never supported that version. It does support version 1.6.2.
    3) If you are working on business app, which needs super fast and complex charts, I would suggest you to use specialized UI for it or make it yourself.

To be honest using CocosSharp for making this kind of app does not make sense to me. Would be prolly better to use MonoGame or just Xamarin.Forms directly if you really want to make high perf C# app.

    Hello,

Thanks for your advice. I'll certainly change later. At this time, I must finish a demonstrator for November 15th. I have no time to learn a new tech.

My first version was a old CCS version, it was not stable. This on seems to be very stable for my needs.

I'm sorry to ask that here (a bit out of context) :

Do you know the differences between mono game and cocossharp ? You think it's hard to transform a Cocossharp app to Monogame ?
I just manipulate CCSprite, CCNode and CCDrawNode.

    Thanks,

    Laurent

If you are using CCS classes yeah it would be hard. MonoGame is just framework, not an engine.

I don't know if you tried cocossharp.forms, I really think it's stable and good.

There is no CocosSharp.Forms, only Xamarin.Forms. Don't mix those two. CocosSharp is 2D engine for the games, Xamarin.Forms is UI for business apps. You don't need CocosSharp to use Xamarin.Forms.
